As the new year starts,
What hopes are in our hearts,
Christmas is over,
That day is done,
The consumers bought,
The retailers won,
The reflections on decorations,
Dull and lifeless,
Waiting for spring,
So gas they’ll pay less,
Cold rooms,
Floods galore,
People’s memories,
Washed to shore,
People homeless,
No bed to rest,
Whilst those in Chelsea,
See the best.
